Louisa Lo

So this is my forth day in Cannes. I’ve been to lots of events thanks to the very well-connected Kirk Cooper - founder of FMA. I went to everything from the Australian/Canadian co-production seminar, to the film market (think trade shows), to the screening of Eyes Wide Open, to various industry receptions/parties.

Things that I learn in Cannes:

1. Things can happen very fast-instant invitations are very common.
2. The acceditation pass is a gal’s best friend!
3. People are never quite on time for meetings. Everyone is running from one thing to the other. So don’t be discouraged and keep chasing them dowm!
4. Learn to listen to what people say. Only then can you determine the best way to hook them in.
5. A good connection with the right people makes all the effort worthy!

Well, I am off to another reception now-more later!
