Montréal, December 21, 2010 – Telefilm Canada congratulates the filmmakers whose works were selected as the best 12 Canadian movies of the decade. It should be noted that each of these films obtained Telefilm support.

“Canadian cinema no longer has to prove anything,” said Michel Pradier, Director of Project Financing at Telefilm Canada. “We produce international-calibre films right here in Canada, and here’s proof! Telefilm is very proud to have contributed to the selected works, which managed to move audiences in Canada and around the world.”

Here are the Top 12 films of the decade according to a Playback poll:
